11/15/2023 0 Comments Insurgency sandstorm player countIt's cool to be upset with some changes to the game, but keep in mind the player base will never make a comeback or change unless the market changes. They probably feel some pressure to adjust to what the new demand for games is, which is why we see so many absurd cosmetics now. That is something Insurgency will always lack, a leveling system that keeps players playing because it was never designed to be that way since the original game. The only game recently to do well is Escape from Tarkov, and that's because it had a grindy system that felt rewarding and valuable to players, in other terms it was more of a looter shooter. The old Insurgency was good when it was a trend to play a realistic tactical shooter. True tactical shooters are past time now. Games like Squad, Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose, Rising Storm 2 and anything else that comes to your mind that you'd consider a TRUE realistic tactical shooter is struggling as well. This games player base isn't lacking because the game is bad, it's because the realistic tactical genre has become a smaller and smaller niche over recent years. I am in no means hating on this game when I make this post, despite being upset with some of the updates in this game (aka the death cam.) Go Play COD or CS-GO, it looks like this not the game for you.Insurgency is a well developed game. Reduced your exp gain so you earn the ingame money less so you have to grind more to get more customization options. Release an optimization patch that didn't really fix anything Added one map, and 4 weapons that are just reskins with some numbers changed Add stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamemodes like that frenzy gamemode Heres what they are doing after 1 year of coding Ok so we identified the problem, now we just need to fix it. the tons of bugs in the game, weapons and magazines dissappearing, the infinite reload glitch where you can't reload your bolt action sniper rifles and makes you put infinite rounds in but can't shoot, bullets just not hitting enemies even if the barrel is shoved in their face and you pull the trigger. everyone is wearing light armor and they can die from 1 shot, which just reinforces unhealthy gameplay where no one wants to run out because they get killed instantly. Heavy armor is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless, you run like a turtle, for the ability to survive 1 extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shot from a 5.56mm round. And don't even get me started on MGs being useless on foot so it promotes even more campy gameplay. And using grenades is slow as ♥♥♥♥ and clucky cause your dude takes 10 seconds to take a grenade out of a pocket and throw it. Thats not how real life CQC works, and this promotes unhealthy gameplay where you want to camp corners and relying on grenades or your commander to open up a defense. I can snap on to my targets faster than my ingame dude does because I have to fiddle with the wonky hipfire mechanic that forces you to ADS everytime you see an enemy. Whoever thought of the idea of the hipfire mechanic needs to revert that change and actually fire a real gun. I even remember when I turned down the settings to the lowest and it actually reduced my overall framerate. Performance issues even on high end machines that gives you inconsistent framerates even if you turn down the settings. Terrible and inconsistent AI that can switch from dumbasses that can't shoot a barn to terminators with aimbot noscoping you behind a wall with a pistol a mile away making the coop mode really just dice rolling for a bad opponent
